Video Digital Human Material Specification

This document describes the video material specifications required for Video Digital Human customization.

Video Material Requirements

If you are trying to record video materials yourself, please refer to the Video Digital Human Shooting Guide.

After recording is complete and you are ready to provide materials for avatar creation, please ensure the video materials meet the following requirements:

Video specifications
  • Video duration: Total duration not less than 3 minutes, 5-10 minutes is optimal.
  • Video size: Must be less than 20GB.
  • Video specifications: Resolution of 1080P or above (4K recommended), frame rate of 25fps or above.
  • Video ratio: Recommended 16:9 portrait or 9:16 landscape.
Frame composition
  • The person should occupy 1/2 to 2/3 of the video frame. The face and head area should not be less than 5% of the frame and must be clearly visible (see examples below).
  • Supports half-body and full-body videos. The person must remain centered in the frame without obstructions.
Person performance requirements
  • Front-facing and front-body posture. Head rotation should be within 30° of the screen angle, with a maximum supported angle of 60°.
  • Natural standing/sitting posture without large movements such as bending over.
  • Natural expressions without exaggeration (no loud laughter, frowning, etc.).
  • Eyes should look straight ahead; avoid wandering gaze.
  • Hand gestures and body movements should not block the head and neck area and should not extend beyond the frame.
Frame background
  • Smooth, flat green screen background (can be chroma-keyed to replace background) or static scene background (background change not supported).
  • Even, natural lighting. Not too dark or overexposed. Refer to the Video Digital Human Shooting Guide for lighting setup.
Person attire requirements
  • Person's attire must be clearly distinguishable from the background.
  • In green screen environments, do not wear green or cyan-colored clothing.
  • Reflective, translucent materials and plaid/stripe patterns are strictly prohibited in any background, as avatars cannot be customized with such materials.
  • If the customer's clothing must be yellow, blue, or other colors similar to the green screen, the green screen can be replaced with a blue screen or other color. Please consult ZEGOCLOUD pre-sales for details.
